To come to study or work in France you need several types of insurance

Are you a citizen of a European Union country*?

Apply for your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) from the social protection organization in charge of your healthcare costs in your country of residence.

In the event of illness or accident in France, use your EHIC to access care.

How long is your stay?

Less than 3 months:

The EHIC does not reimburse the total of your medical expenses. To avoid paying any outstanding charges out of your pocket, take out a travel insurance policy.
